Facing Hardship

And surely We shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast, Who say, when a misfortune strikes them: Lo! we belong to Allah and Lo! unto Him we are returning. Such are they on whom are blessings from their Lord, and mercy. Such are the rightly guided
[Surah Baqarah; 2:155-157]. Dear friend, The Prophet said that this world is a prison for the believers and a paradise for the disbelievers. So it will be full of trials and tribulations. The road to Jannah is not easy. Life isnt a piece of cake. It is full of troubles and strife many a time. Allah chooses whom He will test, and so it is part of your qadr. Whatever happens, it has been written down for you. Each leaf that dops from a tree. Each breath you take. Each move you make, it is in your qadr. So even if the whole world came to try and change your qadr, they wouldnt be able to do so, unless it was the will of Allah. But know that the greatness of reward is based on the severity of the trial. There is a hadith that if Allah loves a person, He tests him. Nothing is done in vain. Everything that occurs is being recorded, and will not be forgotten. Nothing is left alone. Nothing is forgotten. Allah is aware of the troubles that you face. "Your Lord has neither forsaken you - nor is He angry with you, and the latter portion is better than the former" [surah ad-Duha] The more trials and hardships you face, the more you are GAINING for the akhirah. You are GAINING. You are GAINING closer to attaining Jannah. Since your sins are being wiped away, you move closer to entering Jannah. Also remember that the greatness of reward is based on the severity of the trial. So the harder the trial, the MORE reward you gain. Muhammad (salAllahu alayhi wasalam) shook a tree until its leaves fell all around and said: "Troubles and pains are faster in eliminating the sins of human beings than I am in [making the leaves fall from] this tree." Musnad Abi Ya'la and Ibn Abi al-Dunya. Allah burdens not a soul more than he can bear. [Surah al-Baqarah; 2:286] A person may not have the high level Allah desires for them due to shortcoming in their deeds, so Allah does not stop trying them with duress which they hate, until He makes them reach it. Sahih Ibn Hibban, Musnad Abu Ya`la. You may be facing hardships because Allah loves for you to become a better muslim. A better person. So that you can gain Jannah. So that you can gain closeness to Allah. That is what Allah wishes for you. So remain firm. Remain strong. Remain striving. And insha'Allah khair. , so whoever is pleased (with Allah), then he will have the Pleasure (of Allah), but whoever is angry, then he will recieve the Anger (of Allah). Allah Most High desires to love a person through their patient endurance as He said: {And Allah loves the saabirin} (3:146) and He is with them, supporting them: {Truly, Allah is with the saabirin} (2:153, 2:249, 8:46, 8:66). Musnad Abi Ya`la and Ibn Abi al-Dunya. , "Allaah burdens not a person beyond his scope" [2:286] I ask Allah Subhanahu wa Ta3ala to keep us all on His Path, the only Path of Truth, to give us comprehension of His Religion and allow us to understand the inner secrets of His commandments, to rectify for us the affairs of our Religion and our worldly life, to direct our hearts to His obedience, to forgive us and our parents and all the Muslims. Ameen.
